ONE MAA
The OneMaa model is designed to revolutionise maternal healthcare by educating a population, specialising the workforce and connecting a fragmented healthcare system.
We aim to reduce maternal death by addressing the contributory factors highlighted by ‘Three-Delay Model’, delay in seeking care, delay in reaching care and delay in receiving care.
Antenatal Clinics
Maa runs pregnancy clinics in Bangladesh, completely free for mothers to attend for check-ups and medication.
Our clinics are available 24/7 are renowned for providing gold standard care to mothers, completely free of charge.
Educational workshops are also conducted to teach mothers about pregnancy stages, safe motherhood practices, and newborn care.
At Maa's Natural Birthing Centre, we encourage natural births, where possible, which reduces the risk of losing mothers to complications of pregnancy or childbirth.
Through our care and education provided by our highly-skilled doctors, we want to empower women to make decisions that are best for them and their baby, as well as provide them with a safe place to deliver.
Natural Birthing Centre
Maa plays a crucial role in addressing period poverty in rural areas of Bangladesh and India, by advocating for policies and seminars that promote menstrual health and hygiene.
We work to increase access to sustainable menstrual hygiene products and promote education about menstrual health, with the overall goal to address the stigma and discrimination surrounding menstruation.
breaking the cycle
The Widows Project delivers support to widows and their families in Afghanistan by providing them with food essentials and hygiene packs for a month.
This project signifies the expansion of Maa's work beyond Bangladesh and demonstrates our commitment to supporting mothers in developing countries worldwide.
